HPV-related cancers
Human Papillomavirus, HPV, is a DNA virus belonging to the genus Papillomavirus HPV families. Such virus infects human skin and mucosal tissues. There are about 170 types HPV. Some types of HPV can relate warts or cancers after invade the body, but others do not have any symptoms. If recurrent infections in some high risk, and be relate there is no other symptoms of warts HPV types may develop into precancerous lesions and even invasive cancer.
HPV infection is considered to be second only to tobacco carcinogen. It is estimated that approximately 5-7% of cancer associated with HPV infection. Cancer related by HPV infection is mainly concerned with the mucosal tissue and skin cancers, of which 99 % of cervical cancers, 84% of anal cancers, 40% -70% of genital cancers, 30 % of head and neck cancer and oropharyngeal cancer , 25% of lung cancer can be found HPV in their tumors.
